Volunteer Opportunities
Hospitality Agents: The person in this role is there to ensure that someone from our church is there and available to answer questions, make copies, set out drinks, and to help the teacher with any unforeseen needs. Time commitment is two hours.
Bakers: We need people to volunteer to bake or provide snacks for about 30 students.
Childcare: One of the biggest hindrances for people seeking to read is lack of childcare. We are looking for volunteers to fit this role. There is the possibility of a few paid positions as well. People seeking this role would have to undergo a background check. Publicity: The person/s filling this role would insure that libraries and other public areas have fliers that talk about the literacy program. Tutors: If you are interested in becoming a tutor contact the Community Literacy Center to get more information, and to sign up for a tutor training class. You will be glad you did. The CLC Tutor Director can be reached at (405) 524-7323. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions please contact Pastor Paula Meder. |
