Wednesday Evening Bible Study 6:30-7:45. Room 20 South.
This Bible study is devoted to studying the books of the Bible, verse by verse. We complete one book before moving to another. The process provides us opportunity to openly discuss such things as the historical background of a Scriptural passage and the significance of word meanings. We devote time to burden sharing, and rejoicing at answered prayers, as together we fellowship in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Contact Pastor Walt Crow (walt8391@gmail.com) for more information.
Anamchara 6:30-7:45. Starbucks on NW Expressway and MacArthur. Anamchara is an ancient Celtic word meaning soul friend. We meet on a semi-regular basis, usually on Wednesday nights to share thoughts on a designated current book and imbibe significant quantities of caffeine. We hope to remain a fairly open group, where all are welcome to participate in the life of this community of like-minded folks. Contact Chris Yates for more information.
Living Your Strengths 6:30-7:45. Room 43. This class, led by Stephanie Johnson and Mindy Banz, will help you follow your God-given talents to discover and fulfill your calling. We have partnered with “Gallup Faith”, an organization that believes you are at your best when you do what you naturally do best. Everyone has a calling. You just need to discover what it is and that calling does not come from God's voice thundering from above; it comes from His whispers deep within you, from the very essence of your being. God expects nothing more from you than to live that life for which you were created. He wants you to be yourself. Please join us as we discover our talents and begin to uncover our callings. When we build and apply strengths by making the most of our greatest talents, we fulfill our calling. A “Strengths Finder” assessment needs to be taken in order to attend the class (it’s not too late!) and the class will carry a $10.00 fee to cover the cost of your Strengths workbook. To see when the next session will take place, please contact Mindy Banz or Stephanie Johnson at stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org.
Is Your Home in Need of Repair? 6:30-7:45. Room 21. Come learn from our own Mr. Fix-it, Matt Hodge. Matt will teach basic home repair from plumbing to wall-patching.
Parenting with Love and Logic 6:30-7:45. Room 9. Do you want to raise responsible kids while setting limits for them and discipline with empathy instead of anger? Love & Logic is a common-sense approach that provides parents easy-to-learn skills that create respect, responsibility and good decision-making in youth. Please join Becky Bell as she leads this summer workshop starting on June 16. Contact Stephanie Johnson at stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org for more information. This workshop is sponsored by Authentic Families Ministry.
A Band of Sisters 6:30-7:45. Room 5. You don’t want to miss this time of sharing, growing, laughing and shedding a tear or two! Please contact Stephanie Johnson at stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org for more information. This ministry is sponsored by Authentic Families Ministry. Explore the Old Testament’s story of God and God’s calling of the people of Israel through the many “voices” of the biblical text. Hear the magnificence of a Creation hymn, discover the law and wisdom teachings, listen to the warning of the prophets and explore the poetry of the Song of Solomon. This class will be taught by Monte Nabors.
Hands to Work 6:30-7:45. Cry Room. If you love handwork and would love to learn some more about mending, sewing and stitching, this class is for you. For more details, contact Lisa Nabors. | |
