Partnership in MinistryGod has called us to partner with a variety of churches and ministries here in Oklahoma City. Here are a few of those exciting friendships… |
Luz y Vida
Luz y Vida is a Nazarene congregation that meets on our campus on Sunday mornings to fellowship and worship together in Spanish. It has been a joy to partner with this Nazarene Hispanic congregation and an honor for us to have them worshipping alongside of us. They meet in the Green Activity Center for Sunday school at 9:15am and for worship at 10:30am. Luz y Vida will join together in worship with OKC First during our Community Celebrations (on the 5th Sunday night of each 5 Sunday month), as well as other times throughout the year. We are looking forward to the future with Luz y Vida Church of the Nazarene! |

 Fairview Missionary Baptist Church
We couldn’t be more excited as a church to partner in ministry with our friends at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church and Dr. John Reed Jr. Fairview is a predominately Africian-American Missionary Baptist Church located on Northeast 7th Street here in Oklahoma City. Through His Spirit, God has allowed us to come together for worship and friendship, preparing the way for us to walk together this past year in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us next! |
OKC Compassion & Penn Avenue Church of the NazareneJoe and Amy Hall serve as missionaries on the staff at OKC First. After spending the last two years at OKC Compassion, Inc., a partner ministry of OKC First, they now spend their time helping to develop a Residential Recovery Program close to the church campus. In its early stages, they are excited about weaving the resources and strengths of the local community into this ministry. As part of their recovery work, Joe and Amy still work in connection with OKC Compassion, so please don’t hesitate to contact them if you would like to get information about this great ministry. See ministry description: “OKC Compassion, Inc. ministers out of the Penn Avenue Church of the Nazarene, Monday through Saturday. A compassionate ministry, OKCC serves hot meals, distributes clothing and other items to people in need. In addition, OKCC also runs four recovery houses for people looking to break out of unhealthy cycles of dependence to a variety of things. There are plenty of ways for you to get involved!” |
Tulakes Church of the NazareneA few years ago, OKC First helped to plant the Tulakes Church of the Nazarene in an area close to us with a variety of needs. We continue to partner with this church in their food pantry ministry and the CityCares Whiz kids tutoring program. |
First Indian Church and Compassionate Ministry CenterEach month, our Family Ties Sunday School class serves a meal at the close of the Sunday morning service at First Indian Church. This service has lead to an expanded partnership with this ministry in downtown Oklahoma City, with opportunities for ministry in the food pantry, building restoration, and VBS programs. |
 City Rescue Mission
The ways in which we care for the homeless in Oklahoma City as a church body include our commitment to partner with the City Rescue Mission. Through members of OKC First working at the Mission, we are connected to whatever might come up as a prospective need (whether it is blankets to homeless babies or a personal trainer for those in recovery with a need for improved fitness). There is ongoing opportunity to join this friendship with the homeless through Relief and Recovery Ministries, and we need you if you are called to minister to the homeless among our community of friends. |
